Stevens' Family Reunion

Last week was the Stevens' Family Reunion in Athens. No, not Greece, it was better than that...TEXAS!!! We had a lot of fun. The boys went down with my mom and nieces on Sunday because Brian and I were going to work and go down on Wednesday. Well, I guess it was a little much for meme to handle, or I really did not want to work that week...one of the two, because I ended up flying down on Sunday evening. (((I got to miss out on the 8 hour drive with four kids....how lucky did I get))).

The boys really enjoyed themselves, as did the rest of us of course. Bryce got in the swimming pool first thing Monday morning and only got out to eat lunch, dinner and then I made him get out around 6:00 that evening to cool off. He is a little fish. By the end of the week my cousin, Chanda, had taught Bryce how to swim for about 4 feet underwater by himself. We were all so proud of him, as was he of himself.

Breken...well he is some what a different story. He loves the water.....as long as mama is in there. Not just in his sight but right there next to him. He is definately in the seperation stage combined with the TERRIBLE TWO'S!!!! He had a good time just hanging out with all the other babies and the grown ups. He was so funny...he picked up very quickly what all the kids were calling their grandmothers and still walks around saying Ja'ja' (Aunt Candy). He also knew Aunt Juajaun is Grandma and Aunt Jaunette is memaw. He was confused at how mom and Aunt Joan were both meme but that gets confusing to everyone when you have 10 kids yelling meme.

The "grown ups", we get to call ourselves that just because we are older and have kids, but I assure you that you would not think that we were any older than a bunch of college kids when my family gets together...anyways, back to what I was saying. We have a Family Golf Tournament and we have a ball. I started playing about 12 years ago and each time I make it fewer and fewer holes before I decide that I am a better CHEERLEADER than I am a golfer. This year was no different...I only made it to the 5th hole before I decided that I got a lot less sun sitting in the cart drinking my "beverage" then walking out on the green. Luckily my team was there to have fun just like me and knew that I was as much help in the cart as I was out of the cart. Brian on the other hand....kicked butt as always. His team won last reunion but he was not able to pull it off this time. He says he got pencil whipped but we will never know. They did really well and were right on our tail the whole time. - - - - Enough about GOLF!!

I have attached some pictures, I hope you all enjoy.

Brittney and Bryce, they are too much alike!

Bathing in Grandaddy's Wash Tub!!

As most of you are aware, the boys LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to spend time w/their Meme and Grandaddy. So much that usually Bryce does not want to come home. Here are some pictures of their time in Wheeler. We all really love it there and try to make it down as often as we can.

Actually, I just got back from meeting Meme, Aunt Nikki and Uncle Dean in Pampa to pick them up after a long weekend in Wheeler. All the snax that I would put in my basket at Wal-Mart Bryce would taken them out and put them in Meme's.....he really thought that he was going to get to stay at Grandaddy's and Meme's and was not too happy with me. But if I got to do everything that they get to do while there, I would have never left!!!!

Meme has all the pictures so I will update them as she forwards them over to me.

Helping Daddy

The boys decided that they needed to help daddy to mow this weekend. They did such a good job. Luckily for Brian they both have about a 2 minute attention span so it did not take him much longer to mow than usual.

I tried to get Breken to get his mower to help instead of helping daddy w/ the big one, but that was not an option. They have so much fun w/ their daddy. I am so glad that they have gotten bigger and want to be w/ him more so I actually get to have some ME ME ME time. Saturday Brian took the boys to Wal-Mart and got them a fishing pole. They are driving us insane, I bet he ends up throwing these in the dumpster before too long.

Update you all soon.

The Boys and Miss Charcey

It has been sooooo long since I have updated I am going to try and cram everything that has been going on into this.

Last weekend we went to the Zoo with Jeremy, Jenifer, Charcey and Foster. We had so much fun. Bryce wanted to crawl in the cage w/ everything and Breken just wanted to go-go-go. I am not sure where he gets that from...he has no patience for anything. We did have a lot of fun though. I think that the favorite thing was the cow(although a 5 yr old was quick to correct me in telling us it was a longhorn and NOT a cow).

After the Zoo we came back to the house for a little cook out with friends and watched the Horse Race and UFC. Breken and Charcey decided to have their first KISS at this time. They are so darn cute.

Bryce and Breken absolutely adore Charcey. They have always adored Jeremy and Jenifer so it was no surprise how quickly that take to her. We usually draw or paint something for them at least twice a week. I think their refrigerator is getting full of Bryce and Breken drawings. A couple of weeks ago the boys stayed with meme and Grandaddy for the weekend, when I picked them up the first thing that Breken said, not mama....oh no....Charcey.

I have attached some of the pictures that I took. I am still really bad at remembering to take my camera with me (about as good at it as I am remembering to update the blog page).

Anyways I will update you all again...someday.

What about Breken?

You know, I should probably be ashamed of myself...I was showing Bryce and Breken the website and Breken just kept saying...bryce....bryce...bryce. Then I realized that I don't have a single picture of Breken and I have not even written about the poor little thing. You don't realize how different two kids can be until you have your own. Bryce has always liked baseballs, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls...anything that had to do w/ sports and involved a ball. But it was not like he had to have one w/ him at all times....Breken on the other hand LOVES tractors. Mostly CAT Tractors like grandaddy has. For a couple of weeks he called Grandaddy "tractor". He has now found out that if you bug anyone at Grandaddy and Meme's enough that just about all of us can drive the tractor. Every morning he gathers all of his tractors and takes them to Nana's house (not that she does not have any, he just wants those) and them we bring them back every night.

We recently spent most of our vacation at Mom and Dad's helping to get their new house put together, and tearing it apart (bryce and breken anyways)...We had a great time!!! The boys did not want to leave and honestly I did not either. You forget how great it is to live in a small town and the events of your day aren't going to mall but having a couple of beers on the back porch w/ your parents and watching the boys play in the dirt. Well, I have probably bored all of you. I will try to post the pictures as Meme gets them to me. I seem to always forget my camera when I need it....leave it to meme to always have hers though.

I do have a couple of pictures of him deciding that he is big enough to climb Nana and Pop's trees and him and Granddaddy driving at Chuck E Cheese.

Poor, Poor tired Bryce....

Well, Bryce decided about 6 months or so ago that he no longer needed naps. Well we decided the same when he would take a nap and then stay up until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. Well....I guess that yesterday that he did need a nap. We left Nana's house and before we could get home (keep in mind that it literally takes maybe 5 minutes to get home from there) he was out. I tried to wake him up a couple of time and he would not budge. So, when we got home I just got him out of his car seat and stood him up in the garage...I don't think he even opened his eyes. He just laid down and went back to sleep. I took pictures w/ my phone so they may be a little blurry but you can definitely tell that he is passed out on the garage floor.

Love Always,
Brooke
